Cozumel, Mexico, is the largest cruise Capital in Mexico. When you take a western Caribbean cruise, and Mexico is on the itinerary, you will most likely stop in Cozumel. There are so many amazing excursions to take in Cozumel. We always encourage cruisers to step outside their comfort zone and book an excursion. We’ve booked both through our cruise line and on our own.

Paradise Beach is a great candidate if you are looking for a fun and family-friendly excursion. This was not offered through Carnival during our Carnival Jubilee sailing in April 2024, so we booked this on our own. Paradise Beach is close to the cruise port and about a 10 to 15-minute drive. There are tons of cabs available and the entire cruise port crew is there to support and help you. Just outside the exit you can pick up a cab directly to Paradise Beach.

The all-inclusive price includes food and alcoholic drinks. You can upgrade to top-shelf liquor, but honestly, the drinks and offerings are pretty good at the base price. They have a taco food truck and a full menu of food to choose from. Mexican cuisine to American fare is available.
